SHD 101 (Egorii): January

Egorii was glad that the month was finally over, he had discovered that Bodhi hadn't taken well to sharing Egorii's attention with the tear of darkness. Not that the tear of darkness had been anything but a floating blob for a while. But soon it had started taking shape, getting plumper and taller. Then a head and body started forming. At that point Bodhi had really started freaking out. But nothing was as bad as the day when it started to get wings. Egorii had been pleased at the development  surely something with wings wouldn't become something weak or foolish, but Bodhi had just seen it as a threat and had torn up a good deal of Egorii's clothes. Frankly Egorii was surprised at Bodhi's behavior  but then again not many days went by when the little otter didn't surprise him is some way.  Soon the wings grew long black feathers and then a small sharp beak and large eyes appeared. Then large talons. By the third weak he was pretty sure what he was going to end up with. By the last week when he walked by into the classroom he was proven correct, he entered with not just Bodhi but also a large black shadow owl. The owl proved to be highly intelligent, but not the most sociable. It mostly did its own thing but had kept Egorii company and tried to make friends with Bodhi though it hadn't exactly succeeded. Still Egorii had found the experiment fascinating. Though he was glad it was over. Not as glad as Bodhi though.
